Order of the Arrow

As Scouting’s National Honor Society, our purpose is to recognize those who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives.

Scouting youth who meet the requirements for membership are elected into the Order of the Arrow by their peers in their unit. This recognition inspires others to conduct themselves in a way that warrants similar recognition, promote camping, responsible outdoor adventure, and environmental stewardship as essential components of every Scout’s experience in the unit, year-round, and in summer camp, develop leaders with the willingness, character, spirit, and ability to advance the activities of their units, our Brotherhood, Scouting, and ultimately our nation, and crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others.

How Can I Get Involved?

For you personally:
If you have already been inducted into the Order of the Arrow (perhaps as a youth), and are registered with the BSA, then you can transfer your membership by filling out this form and paying your dues (see below).  As simple as that!

For your unit:

Ohlone Lodge is Pacific Skyline Council’s Order of the Arrow organization.  Ohlone Lodge members would love to visit your unit whether you have Scouts eligible to be elected or not.  We can promote summer camp, present camping and high adventure opportunities, and explain the Order of the Arrow in a way that motivates Scouts to become eligible for the recognition.

Order of the Arrow Unit Visitation has two “seasons”: Jan.-Mar. and Aug.-Oct.

Your unit leader should receive an email from the Lodge starting each January with a custom link for scheduling a visit.  You may also request that link at any time from our Vice Chief for Inductions (youth leader) at VCI@ohlone63.org.
