It’s the annual Shooting Sports Weekend! Our Shooting Sports Committee is hosting a weekend packed with shooting sports activities.

When
- Friday, March 22 at 6:00 PM to Sunday March 24, 2024 at Noon
- MANDATORY safety briefing on Saturday at 8:30 AM, if you are not there on time you cannot shoot!
Cost
- $125/Youth (limited to 84)
- $50/Adult (can shoot but priority goes to Youth)

- Scouts BSA and Venturers – limited to 84 Youth
- Participation at each station may depend on strength and is at the discretion of the instructors.
Details
- Registration opens Monday, February 5 at 9:00 AM.
- Sign-ups are by “contingent” only (as a troop/crew, NO individual sign-ups).
- Each unit can only sign up 10 youth initially, open to all starting February 19.
- Only units within Pacific Skyline Council can sign up before Monday, February 19, when registration opens to all.
- Eye and ear protection will be provided and must be worn at all ranges
- Bring your own lunch and water
- Adults can shoot, time permitting; youth have priority
- All participants must bring 2 signed copies of the Shooting Sports Authorization Form
- Units will provide their own food and cook their own meals in their camp
Camping
- Units will be assigned a campsite for the weekend at Boulder Creek Scout Reservation (Friday night and Saturday night) — you do not need to reserve a campsite ahead of time

This event is for Scouts ages 11-17, age 10 if completed Webelos and joined a Scouts BSA troop. Some events like shotgun may have age or size restrictions which are up to the instructor. See age restrictions here.
Scouts will be grouped into patrols of 16 and rotate through the various stations. Experienced instructors will conduct safety briefings, supervise all activities, and provide expert instruction.
This is an amazing opportunity to experience a wide variety of shooting sports in a safe and fun outdoor environment. This event is limited to 128 Scouts so make sure you sign up early!
Who: Scouts BSA youth and adult leaders (Scouts have priority but adults can shoot too!)

Meals: Fri – cracker barrel, Sat – breakfast/lunch/dinner, and Sun – breakfast/lunch

Registration
· Aug 14, 2019 – Registration opens for in-council units (limited to 10 youth/unit, contingent registration only, each unit must have 2 adults minimum who are not on staff. Adults from each unit will be expected to work one or more shifts in the kitchen.)
· Aug 28, 2019 – Registration continues, (unlimited, open to out-of-council units, first-come first-served, non-refundable)
· Sep 6, 2019 – Registration closes
