Redwood Historic Trail

Early loggers next to cut redwood trunk

The Redwood Historic Trail is located at Boulder Creek Scout Reservation. Only three and a half miles long, but full of interesting facts about the redwood tree and the redwood logging industry, the trail has 18 stations that weave the story of early California logging history. You will learn how early loggers cut, transported and milled the large redwood trees. You will travel by old logging sites, an old mill site, log slides, and oxen bridge. A patch is available for completing the trail and requirements.
