Cub Scout Day Camp Sail the Seven Seas with Sinbad the Sailor, travel to medieval Asia with Marco Polo. The Age of Exploration is full of fun, adventure and drama! Travel the Silk Road and entice your senses--see the tall ships and feel the wind in your hair, smell the exotic spices, hear the clash of swords, and taste the savory flavors of the Orient. Cub Cruise “Sail on the Bay” aboard a Sea Scout Ship! A fun-filled introduction to our Sea Scouting program for Cub Scouts and their families, participants take a 1½ hour cruise around San Francisco Bay while learning about the Bay’s tidal habitat, and basic ship safety and operations. Each participant will receive a commemorative patch. The Sea Scouts are part of the BSA’s co-ed Venturing division which teaches young men and women maritime skills. Webelos Resident Camp Webelos get a “sneak peek” into the wonderful world of Boy Scout Camp and a parent gets to enjoy a unique camping experience with their Scout. Activities: Tied to a theme, Webelos can earn advancement in Aquanaut, Forester, Geologist, Naturalist and Outdoorsman activity badges, and belt loops in Astronomy, Wildlife Conservation, Fishing, Archery and BB gun. Webelos can also participate in aquatics activities including Rowing and Canoeing and learn hands-on “Trail to First Class” skills including fire building and cooking their own meal. Join a work party at Oljato – Earn your way to the front of the chow line! Camp Oljato relies on volunteer labor to set up and tear down the camp each year. We are reinstituting an incentive program to encourage units to help us get camp ready this Spring. The troop in camp each week with the highest number of service hours at Camp Oljato (for the period from 1/1/13 – 6/16/13) will get first-in-line privileges at the dining hall for their stay. Youth can earn their service hours; everyone will get a limited edition work party patch. Bring your camping gear to sleep in Family Camp and we provide the food! Show your commitment to making Camp Oljato the jewel of the Sierras. All Order of the Arrow members are encouraged to come on the June 14-16 OA weekend, but anybody is welcome to join in on that final weekend. Historic Trails
